Queen Larch is the queen of Whitewings Island, and used to be the leader of the group called The Larchlings. She loved flowers and had many gardens outside her castle, and was considered a good queen.
History
Urchin and the Heartstone
She was dethroned by Silverbirch, who rose to power when she was too young to accept the throne. She then went into hiding with her priest, Flame and established the Larchlings, an organization that attempts to restore her to the throne and end Silverbirch's tyrannical reign. Everyone else on the island believed that she had fled to another island. When Juniper arrived on Whitewings, Larch helped to take care of him as she was also a good healer. With the help of Cedar, Lugg, Urchin and Juniper they defeated King Silverbirch and made Larch Queen.
Urchin and the Raven War
She aided Mistmantle during the Raven War, alerted by Scatter, Pitter, and Prince Crown, by riding a swan to their island along with other Whitewings animals. She helped trap the ravens with sticky nets too. She then shared a word with Cedar and Crispin.
Urchin and the Rage Tide
When Corr came to Whitewings, she took him to her castle and gave him supplies, along with healer honey that would heal Sepia.
She later reveals to Corr that she wants to name the castle 'House of the Marked Squirrel' in honor of Urchin. It is unknown what happens next to Larch, but she most likely continued to be Queen, and she maybe married and had children.
Appearance
Larch was a small female hedgehog with smooth bristles and a sharp, kindly face.
