Lord Arcneck was the Lord of Swan Isle who, albeit reluctantly, welcomed Crispin to his island when he was exiled from Mistmantle. He had a wife and a son who they named Crown because of the way his feathers stuck up on his head like a crown.
History[]
Urchin of the Riding Stars[]
Lord and Lady Arcneck
Lord Arcneck first appears when Crispin arrived on Swan Isle. Crispin impressed him by killing a water snake and Lord Arcneck slightly respected him afterwards, especially after Crispin saved Lady Arcneck from drowning. Lord Arcneck avenged the death of Whisper by killing Gloss and aided Crispin by helping him and Urchin fly back to Mistmantle.
Urchin and the Raven War[]
During the Raven War Lord Arcneck was one of the swans who flew to Mistmantle to request help. He was rudely greeted by Princess Catkin and dishonored by being forced into the tiny Throne Room. Crispin agreed to helping him and together they returned to Swan Isle and defeated the raven army. He was ridden by Crispin in battle because of his view that royalty should be with royalty.

However, soon after his own island was liberated he left Mistmantle and seemed to abandon it when the raven armies swarmed it. Whether it was his disregard for Mistmantle that caused him to not send help or the fact he didn't know is unknown.
Urchin and the Rage Tide[]
Lord Arcneck was killed during a Rage Tide that swept through Swan Isle, Mistmantle and Whitewings. Afterwards, his son, Prince Crown, was named Lord Crown, and he began to rule differently than his father, helping the animals instead of ignoring them.
Personality[]
Lord Arcneck was well respected on both Mistmantle and Swan Isle. However, he was also known for being very stuck up. Aside from a few squirrels, Lord Arcneck had a disregard for squirrels and other animals and often showed it by calling squirrels tree-rats.
Relationships[]
Crispin the Swan Rider[]
Lord Arcneck welcomed Crispin to his island and soon afterwards he and Crispin became almost friends, often helping each other's islands in times of crisis or peril.
Captain Urchin of the Riding Stars[]
Lord Arcneck knew Urchin of the Riding Stars and respected him for freeing the swans on Whitewings.
