Ravens are a species of medium-sized scavenging bird covered in glossy black plumage. They are the only species in The Mistmantle Chronicles of which every member is a villain; they launched an en masse invasion of Swan Isle and Mistmantle Island in the fifth book in the series, cementing their place as the only entirely evil species featured.
